LeadPilotOS Call Chrome Extension Privacy Notice
Last updated October 30, 2026
LeadPilotOS Call is a Chrome extension for agency owners, admins and agents who use LeadPilotOS. It lets you call a phone number you see on a website with your LeadPilotOS Work Phone, after you review the matching lead or customer and confirm the call.
This notice explains what the extension reads, sends and stores. It adds to the LeadPilotOS Privacy Policy at leadpilotos.com/privacy/, which covers how LeadPilotOS handles information once it reaches our service.
1. What the extension reads on web pages
So it can offer a Call button, the extension runs on the ordinary web pages you open (pages starting with http or https), except the LeadPilotOS app itself. When you point at or tab to text on a page, it checks in your browser whether that text is a US or Canadian phone number.
To do that, it reads only the few words around the spot you point at, together with how they are shown, and only on your computer. The extension does not send page contents, the addresses of pages you visit, or your browsing history anywhere, and it does not store them. It does not change the text on the page; it only adds a small floating Call button.
2. What the extension sends, and when
Nothing leaves your browser until you choose Call next to a number. Then:
- The phone number you chose is sent to LeadPilotOS (app.leadpilotos.com) over an encrypted connection, so the side panel can show which of your agency’s leads or customers have that number and whether your Work Phone is ready.
- Only after you press the call button in the side panel, the phone number and the lead or customer record you picked (or none) are sent to LeadPilotOS to start the call on your Work Phone, with a one-time request ID that prevents a duplicate call.
- Each request also includes the LeadPilotOS app version, so the service can check compatibility and record which version each user runs.
- If you installed the extension from the LeadPilotOS website rather than the Chrome Web Store, the side panel also asks LeadPilotOS for the newest extension version, so it can tell you when an update is ready. That request contains no phone number.
These requests go through your signed-in LeadPilotOS tab, so your browser uses the same secure sign-in it already has with LeadPilotOS. Inside that tab, the extension attaches the anti-forgery security token LeadPilotOS gives the page, the same way the app does. It never sees, copies or stores your password or sign-in cookie.
3. What the extension stores
While you work with a number, the extension keeps that phone number, a random selection ID and the number of the browser tab it came from in Chrome’s temporary session storage. Web pages cannot read it. It is replaced when you pick another number, and cleared when you confirm a call, when the number disappears from the page or you leave it, when you close that window, or when you quit Chrome.
The extension stores nothing else on your computer and keeps no copy of your leads, customers or calls.
4. How the information is used
LeadPilotOS uses the phone numbers you choose only to find the matching record in your agency’s account and to place the calls you confirm and log them in your agency’s call history, exactly as the LeadPilotOS Privacy Policy describes for calls made in the app. A call you confirm appears in your agency’s call history like any other Work Phone call.
We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or use it to decide anyone’s creditworthiness or eligibility for lending. People at LeadPilotOS look at it only when you ask for help, to keep the service secure, or when the law requires.
The use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Why the extension asks for its Chrome permissions
- Access to the web pages you visit: to recognize phone numbers when you point at them and show the Call button. Page contents stay on your computer.
- Access to app.leadpilotos.com: to send your chosen number and confirmed calls through your signed-in LeadPilotOS tab.
- Side panel: to show the number, the matching record and the confirm button beside the page.
- Storage: to remember the number you chose for the current browser session, as described above.
7. Your choices
- Use the extension only when you want to: nothing is sent unless you choose Call.
- Limit where it runs: in Chrome, open the extension’s details and set Site access to “On click” or “On specific sites.”
- Remove it at any time from chrome://extensions. Removing it deletes the temporary information it kept.
- To access, correct or delete information LeadPilotOS holds about you, see the LeadPilotOS Privacy Policy or email leadpilotoshq@gmail.com.
8. Changes to this notice
If the extension starts handling information differently, we will update this notice with a new date before releasing that version.
